Fr. Bill is settled comfortably in the hospital. Fr. Alan has visited with him, bringing the thoughts and prayers of all.
An email has been circulating stating that Father has internal bleeding. Please be assured, the intensive diagnostic tests revealed no internal bleeding.
Father has been diagnosed with Leukemia.
With the nature of both the illness and the course of treatment, his immune system is vulnerable and for that reason he cannot have visitors. He knows that his many friends want to show love and support, in response to this Father has asked that we fast & pray on Fridays for his recovery.
In lieu of cards or flowers he asks that donations be made to St Mary's church to keep flowers on Mary's altar.
Leave your message for Father Bill here on the blog, we will see to it these messages are given to him.

ReplyDeleteFather Bill.
ReplyDeleteRemember fourteen years ago, when you blessed and prayed for my son Hector who had been diagnosed with leukemia? The same day when you baptized my yongest son Jaime along with Father Tomas? Well, he is now eighteen years old and a very healthy strong boy. All my family learned that miracles are true.
Know that you are in our every day payers and asking our Lady of Guadalupe that a miracle be granted to you just as she did for my son Hector.
God bless you. Get well soon.

Dear Father Bill,
ReplyDeleteit has been a while since I last saw you at graduation at Morris School in 1976, but throughout these intervening years you have always remained in my mind for all the lessons that you taught me. Today, I find out that you are slightly under the weather and a prayer could help. Well then, I send the first of many for your recovery. This prayer all the way from Warsaw, Poland!
God bless you and bring you back to health!

Father Bill:
ReplyDeleteI just found out about your illness this afternoon. I will contact all the Morgans, Burgesses, and the guys I know from Morris School and ask them for their prayers and support. You have done so much for our family it is impossible to thank you enough. You are truly an inspiration to our lives and our families. Please be assured you are in our prayers each and every day.
Yours in Christ, Bryan Burgess
